You decide what your photos cost. The one floor is RM8 per photo minimum, so a price can never be set low enough to make a sale not worth processing.
You have four pricing tools. The first, the per-photo price, is the only one you must set. The other three are optional ways to reward buyers who take more photos.
Price per photo
Every gallery has a default price per photo, in ringgit (RM8 or more). You set it on the create gallery form. Different galleries can have different prices, so a finish-line set can cost more than a warm-up set if you want.
You can change it anytime, even after publishing. Open the gallery's manage screen and save a new default price. It takes effect on the next order; past sales are not repriced.
You can also override the price of a single photo on the manage screen. An override wins over the gallery default for that photo only. Clear it and the photo goes back to the default.
Foto-Flat
A Foto-Flat is a flat price for buyers who take several of your photos at once. Set it on the gallery's manage screen with two numbers:
- Min photos: the number of photos that triggers the flat price, for example 3.
- Flat RM: the flat total once they pick that many or more.
For example: photos at RM15 each, Foto-Flat of RM45 at 3 photos or more. Someone finding five of your shots pays RM45 instead of RM75, and you sell five photos instead of maybe one or two. It is a gentle nudge that lifts your total sale.
Photo packages
Photo packages are priced tiers, also on the manage screen. Each package says: this many photos for this price. You can set up to 5 packages. The rules:
- A package must start at 2 photos or more.
- A package must cost at least RM8.
- Each bigger package must cost more than the smaller one.
When a buyer picks more photos than a package covers, the package price covers their most expensive photos and the extra photos are charged per photo. Example: photos at RM15, a 3-photo package at RM36. A buyer picking 4 photos pays RM36 for three of them plus RM15 for the fourth, so RM51 instead of RM60.
Bundle price
The bundle price on the create gallery form is a price for the whole gallery. It only applies when a buyer takes every ready photo in the gallery. Good for a "take everything of me" offer when your gallery is one runner or one team.
Checkout picks the cheapest, automatically
The buyer never has to choose between these. At checkout, Fotto works out the per-photo sum, the bundle, the Foto-Flat and the best package, and charges whichever is cheapest for what the buyer selected. A discount only applies when it actually beats paying per photo.
Note
All of these are optional except the per-photo price. Leave the rest blank and buyers simply pay per photo.
