Fotto is where event photographers in Malaysia sell their photos. You shoot a marathon, a ride, a match or a concert, upload your galleries, and set your own prices. Runners and fans find themselves by selfie or bib number and buy the shots they want, paid in ringgit by FPX or DuitNow.
Why photographers use Fotto
You set the price. Fotto earns mainly from your subscription. Paid plans carry a low platform fee (0% until 7 Sep 2026 as a launch promo, then 12%/10%/8% depending on your tier). A 2.5% payment-processing fee (min RM1) applies to every sale on every plan, promo included. The Free plan is the exception: it carries a 15% platform fee on top of that, so you can start with no card at all. See Plans and fees for a worked example.
Your work stays protected. Every preview a buyer sees is watermarked and low resolution. The clean, full resolution file is only released after they pay. Nobody downloads your originals for free.
Runners find themselves. A buyer uploads one selfie, or types their bib number, and Fotto surfaces the photos that match. You do not have to tag anyone or sort galleries by hand.
Note
Face matching only ever suggests photos to a buyer. A person always confirms which shots are actually them before anything is bought. Nothing is auto assigned.
How a sale happens
- You upload a gallery to an event and publish it. Previews are watermarked automatically. Until you publish, the gallery is invisible to buyers.
- A runner searches the event by selfie or bib and finds their photos.
- They pay in ringgit. The full resolution, watermark free files unlock instantly.
- Your earnings build up under Payouts. Request a payout whenever you are owed RM50 or more.
