Does Fotto take a cut of my sales?
Fotto earns mainly from subscriptions. The Free plan carries a 15% platform fee; paid plans carry a lower fee, temporarily 0% during the launch promo (until 7 Sep 2026). A separate 2.5% payment-processing fee (minimum RM1) applies to every sale on every plan, promo included. See Plans and fees for the exact numbers and a worked example.
How and when do I get paid?
On demand. Once you are owed RM50 or more, request a payout anytime, no fixed cycle. We transfer manually by bank or DuitNow within a few days. See Payouts.
Do I have to tag people in my photos?
No. Runners find themselves by selfie or bib number, and the matching happens automatically. See Selfie and bib search.
Can people download my originals for free?
No. Previews are always watermarked and low resolution. The full resolution file only unlocks after a buyer pays. See Watermarks and previews.
Can several photographers shoot the same event?
Yes. Each has their own gallery under the same event, and one buyer search covers all of them.
What does a buyer refund mean for me?
If a buyer needs a refund (wrong photo, a failed download), support handles it. A refunded order drops out of your payout balance, but money already paid out to you is never clawed back. Reach out and we will sort it fairly.
My upload is blocked, it says I hit a storage limit
Every plan comes with a storage limit, and uploads stop once you reach it. Delete photos you no longer need to free space, or upgrade for more room. Note that archiving a gallery frees an event slot, not storage, archived photos still count. See Plans and fees.
A buyer says their order disappeared
Orders that sit unpaid for 24 hours expire. Nothing is lost, the photos are still in your gallery. The buyer just finds their photos again and places a new order.
I changed my watermark, do I need to re-upload?
No. The watermark applies at the moment a photo is viewed, so your new style shows on every photo instantly, old uploads included. See Watermark.
Why can't I price a photo below RM8?
RM8 is the platform minimum per photo. It keeps every sale worthwhile once fees are taken. Want to reward buyers who take more photos? Set up photo packages, they give volume discounts without dropping your per-photo price. See Set your prices.
A team member shoots for my studio, who gets paid?
You do. On the Studio plan, galleries belong to the studio owner, and every sale lands in the owner's payout balance. Team members get access to upload and manage, not payouts. Fotto records who uploaded what, so paying your team is between you and them.
